Amilia DURI

Classical Children + Adults

Amilia took her first steps in the world of dance at the age of seven in the little school “Vivre son Corps”. Although very quickly thrilled by this universe, she did not decide to undertake pre-professional training until the age of twelve, training she would follow for eight years in sport-art-studies. She had the chance to learn various dance techniques such as tap dancing, modern jazz or certain character dances, as well as the history and grammar of dance. She also participated for five consecutive years in the Art and Movement Fairs at Palexpo where she performed on stage. In addition, she was able to assist her teacher during an edition of the dance festival during which she gave introductory classical lessons for young children. She completed her training by dancing on the stage of the Casino Theater, Aurore’s variation of act 3 of the ballet La belle au bois dormant. Thereafter, having left her formative school, she followed numerous dance lessons in multiple schools in Geneva. She is now a substitute classic teacher for adult beginners at the Migros Club School.
